Hello friends, coach Shelby and Coach Christine, welcoming you in and letting you know it's time for brunch, where there's always an open table, a hot cup of coffee and endless running fun to keep you moving and grooving. And we put a lot of thought process into what you want as our listeners, as our athletes and our community. And so many of you reached out that you were bummed that you missed out on Crown Conquer and choosing the pink path or the blue path. So we did what we do best. We already had the answer to all of your questions and we are unlocking a secret vault of epic proportion, villainous labs and, of course, some secret treasure. At the end, and because we're heading into spooking season, why not harness our dark side, that dark path, and host a little bit of a villain face off between Coach Christine and myself, coach Shelby, because again we're all on the same team? But some healthy, healthy carotery and a little healthy competition is well, downright wicked, don't you think so?
Speaker 1:I absolutely do, and I think that what's very fun about this specifically is the fact that neither of us are great at trash talking. We have a whole lot of love for each other, a lot of support and a lot of encouragement, but we're both competitive girls. We are Surprisingly so no, not surprisingly so. Every single person who's rolling through here listening to this. You have been involved with walking, running, racing at any point in your life. You know that that little competition does drive you, puts a little extra pep in your step, a little bit of fiery spirit within. So let's get right to it, my friend, because we are unlocking the villain's vault showdown.
Speaker 1:Dun dun dun, both heading on our own teams. While we are going to have, our teams were racing across the dark kingdom with a mileage challenge to see which team arrives at this villain's vault to unlock the treasures within first. So, coach, this kicks off on October the first, because, again, you know that we love us some spooky season around here and I want you to help us understand. What are you talking about? Mileage what does that mean exactly for the people that are rolling through here?
Speaker 2:So, first and foremost, we want to stress this is for runners, walkers, movers and shakers.
Speaker 2:We are making this specific to miles as a whole and putting that little bit of that consistency crown from the crown and conquer challenge and bringing it to a different type of movement. So we are going to be having our teams, as coach Christine said, and we are looking for each individual participant to at least hit 62 miles in 31 days, which, because math is totally my strong suit. I double checked it twice and it comes out to two miles per day. You can do more, you can do less, but we're asking you to not only make the commitment to yourself but also to your team and say I can do this. And the best part is running counts, walking counts. We're good. If you want to walk your dog, take a stroll with a margarita on the beach. All of it is going to go in to that online tracker and tell you exactly where your miles are going, how far you're going and how much you're doing together with your teammates, both ourselves as well as the other participants.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I love that this is not a pace, specifically why I said who arrives to the villain vault the quickest? That's really not what it's about. It definitely doesn't matter about pace. It matters about being wickedly dedicated and consistent and committed to not just your own fitness but to also help being support your team along the way. So, again, you're going to be participating on this, and this builds off of our current crown and conquer challenge, where we asked folks to commit to a little bit of fitness and wellness time for themselves. This is that extra like next level up, of course, because we had to bring a bit more of that fire, maybe a lot of Hades there, from those Disney villains.
Speaker 1:So we love Disney, we love the villains because, let's be honest, they're true heroes of all of the movies, but at least they are for me. So we're going to definitely have a bit of that showdown aspect and bring a lot of that villain energy vibe while still working together as a team.
Speaker 1:I love the mileage tracker. I love it. It's a set it and forget it. Once you get registered, once we help you walk through that aspect of sinking in your mileage, it is very much something that you don't have to worry about being a daily other to do. You don't have to think about oh, I need to keep mine, or to keep track of this, or I have to prove the mileage.
Speaker 1:It will truly be a set it and forget it, making it super, super easy for you, and we're going to make sure that the teams are evenly distributed. So please don't worry if you feel like 62 miles is your weekly mileage or if you feel like 62 miles is something that you haven't done over the course of your entire lifetime, we will figure out a way for both of these teams to be truly as equal as possible out of that starting gate as they make their way across that dark kingdom. I love mileage challenges Coach because, while I'm not a huge fan of necessarily streaking, I think that mindful movement on a day-to-day basis is such a great way of keeping us at the forefront of the minds of yeah, I need to do something healthy and good for myself today.
Speaker 2:And as we were working on our challenges and planning out the rest of our year, on the time for a brunch side and the TFB training side, we wanted to make it a cohesive stepping stone, no matter where you're at in your journey. So for our crowd and conquer, we focused on the strength, we focused on that mindfulness and now, with our Villains Vault showdown, we're bringing it to the main event of movement and going forward and racking up those miles. And a big part of that is figuring out how to make your fitness fun and functional and a little wicked, a little evil too. So you're going to be able to use those cross-training days to maybe rack up some additional miles.
Speaker 2:Take part in our recorded workouts, which we'll talk about a little bit more, but, like we said, we want all levels to be welcome. So if you happen to be listening to this in our off-of-the-running way for a little bit or off the walking way, please feel free to reach out to us. We will make sure that there's a way for you to participate that keeps it fair for all of the participants. But come one, come all, because we have a wicked brew ready to be bottled up.
Speaker 1:We absolutely do, and I love this so much again because it does feed in all of to our Disney villain, love and vibe. And that brings us to how we're going to make sure, like we can guarantee, that you're going to have fun with this.
Speaker 1:You're going to cackle, as we say, with the delight all the way through, because we have these audio components of the workouts and basically what that means is that every single week you will have delivered to you an official coaching companion. We will have Coach Shelby and I. You know us, you love us, you've been with us, my friends, you've been at our brunch table. We're going to take it up a notch where we're going to have this official showdown. We'll have a villain of our team come out to represent. We're making these audio components a lot more fiery because we'll have a little bit of an interactive component when you're out for your workout, so that we can kind of make you sure that each team is still working towards racing to that villain's vault.
Speaker 1:I love our workouts, but I love more than that, coach. It's the feedback we get. We've had people say that they turned around from hating the treadmill, absolutely considering it the true villain of all of their lives, to absolutely loving the treadmill because they've seen how they can utilize it as a tool. With some of our workouts that we program that are like incline or hill friendly. We've had friends tell us that they didn't think they could go that fast that long. They couldn't go out there and feel that strong and all walk away and come back and say, yeah, that was it flew by, it felt easy, I didn't have to think about things and I feel stronger. I know I have one person in particular who'll text me after she's done with her runs and say, hey, did you see my paces?
Speaker 2:I'm like girl. I know they say which, please.
Speaker 1:Absolutely so. I think that that's the exciting part is that these audio components of the workouts take a lot of the guesswork out of your day to day, but they also add a little bit of extra magic to your workout regimen. And again, I really love the fact that we're going to have this show down, because, while we may not be good at trash talking, we still are planning at trying to reign supreme in this particular workout.
Speaker 2:And if you haven't experienced our workouts, we have some that we do have on the time for brunch podcast. But a lot of that we do reserve for our training groups because we're able to see a little bit more in depth where our runners are at, what type of metrics are coming back and how we can best support them for race day, for base training and beyond. So, while we will have five that's right, five dedicated workouts, we're able to really tell you about four, and they're, again, so customizable. We have no problem dropping comments, DMs or kind of troubleshooting on the go, and we want to have these audio components so we make it just a little bit easier for you to get up and get out there, regardless of what you may or may not be training for. And again, can we do anything that's not themed? Again, we're going to go out there, we're going to sweat, we're going to go and do the hard work. Why not have fun doing it? The 31 days are going to pass anyway.
Speaker 1:Yeah, why would you do it without a fun theme attached to it? So let's get a little bit into this theming. Coach, we already said it's a team face off, a team showdown, if we will. So right at the gate our first week, we're going to have the audio coaching workout, a bit of a progression run, a little bit, as you have said, a slow burn, a power play, if you will, because we're going to feature our villains of my side being represented by Jafar. You're going to bring in a little bit of that underwater love, will you say.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, the see, which herself Ursula, because again, both of them played the long game and in your progression run you have to do that slow burn. So we're going to have that for week one, and then we're going to bring some big cat energy and give a track workout. That I don't worry, you don't have to be on a track for it. Plenty of our athletes do these right on the streets of their own speedways and have a grand time. So we're going to take Sheer Khan and Scar and dig our heels in, dig our claws in and get a little catty.
Speaker 1:Yeah, a little sinister. Surges and sprints to save the day. How many s can I throw?
Speaker 2:in there.
Speaker 1:But yes, of course, there's going to be a lot of fun attached to that. We're not going to stop there Again. What we love about these is that, whether you are walking, you are run, walking. You've been running for decades. These workouts will work for you. The next one, though, that we're going to go ahead and do is we're going to level it up a little bit. We're going to climb and maybe do some social climbing, alla, lady Tremaine, or, villainously, have you work up a tower with our pill side? Retreat there.
Speaker 2:What do you think?
Speaker 1:Coach.
Speaker 2:Yes, we're going to be employing Mother Gothel on my team because Mother knows best, maybe not as good as us coaches, but we'll give her honorable mentions. So she doesn't, you know, imprison us in a tower for 18 years. But this workout specifically is going to play gang bust on the treadmill will be giving some differences in case you are going to be doing outside. But I probably am most excited, since I incorporate treadmills and inclines and speed on the treadmill a lot in my one-on-one clients' schedule.
Speaker 1:Not to mention that these are the ones, this type of workout if you are just starting with really learning your form treadmills with inclines and hill workouts are going to be the quickest way to learn proper form in terms of really getting that next step. If you've been running for some time, you know that the inclined work is where your strength comes into play. You build in a lot of power. It's essentially the strength training of all running workouts, so it will definitely give you a little bit of a fiery burn on that backside to keep nipping at your heels as you make your way to that vaulted treasure, of course. So we're not gonna stop there, though, because we're gonna keep that energy going, but maybe add a dad, a fashionista and a little pinch of frenetic, frenzied energy for, of course, our very, very stylish showdown between Isma and Corella Deville. This may have been one of our harder ones, because we love them both.
Speaker 2:We fought over the fashion, I think, first and foremost, as we're breaking in all the Fs with this far clip.
Speaker 2:But you won't be saying F this at the end because we'll break it all down. We're going to make sure that you know the efforts that you should be shooting for and, just like all of the workouts that we do, we continuously keep them fresh, because, while people love speed workouts, oftentimes you get stressed out with them because you're trying to program this, trying to figure out your rest times, your push times, what you should be doing, and we're taking the guesswork out of it, because villains are all about a plan. They don't just go in half hazardly one day and decide I'm just gonna run super fast and then now that's not how they work, that's not how we work. So you're gonna have all of that in plenty of time to where you can review, rearrange and make sure that you're putting the pedal to the metal and actually be a victorious villain, versus losing your kingdom after like two days.
Speaker 1:And I think we have a few more Fs for you. Friends, you're gonna be saying that you feel fabulous all the way to the finish line of this 31 day journey. We can guarantee that where we have our finale, our final workout, where we are not going to say not one word, because it will be one and only a surprise for the folks that join on in. So this is where we have a little bit of our devious, wicked ways come to the forefront.
Speaker 1:We are very excited about this finale, the fifth workout within this series, but we do know for a fact that it will be truly fabulous with a little dash of sinister. That's not it, though. I mean there is not. Do you just get these premium podcasts that you will not be able to find anywhere else, Not even though we love so many members of our communities? These will only be registered for the folks that sign up for the Villains Vault Showdown that are in this training group, but with that, we also will be having a accompanying playlist every single week, put on by the one and only that you love Coach Shelby, Coach Christine. So it will be the perfect little mashup of our different villains and inspired by our very different personalities when it comes to music. A monster mashup.
Speaker 2:Is that where you're going with this? What I definitely is gonna make it on the playlist because I love me, some monster mash.
Speaker 1:For the record, there's going to be a whole lot of devilish puns along the way. So, with that said, you've got the mileage component. You have your virtual tracker that's included. You've got these workouts that are customized just for you. You've got your two villainous vanguards leading the way and helping you every step of the way. You've got these playlists. That's not it, though, because we unboxed the Vault.
Speaker 2:We literally did. Something else came out of the Vault when we decided to unleash the power.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and not just a winged dragon. There was still a lot more in that Vault for sure, so we maybe have some friends on the other side that wanted to come play. They didn't want these featured villains of the audio workouts every week to get all of the airtime. So we're going to feature all of the Disney villains and maybe a grim grinning ghost or two with our daily fortune reveal. Now, coach, this is the one and only the shadow man. It's going to be the master of ceremonies where he will dole out the daily fortune for our participants. Can you tell me, maybe would you be willing to hint at some of the daily fortunes that folks might be in store for?
Speaker 2:Well, these daily fortunes are again. This is not an or, this is an and, and we want to keep building the great base that we've started with the Crown and Conger Challenge. Welcome in the new participants who missed out the first time and make sure that we're not just being a one-trick pony or a one-trick villain. We're very complex creatures, so those fortune cards are going to be a surprise every single day. Maybe one day you'll be a core workout, maybe a recipe, maybe a journaling prompt, maybe some strength. You're just going to have to join and find out, because every morning we're going to have a new card that we are going to pull and show us the light of the day, if you will. And again, don't worry, these aren't going to be hour long fortune cards that you're going to have to do. They are going to be the perfect amount of sugar and spice and everything nice.
Speaker 1:I heard that maybe there's even a recipe for a youthful elixir.
Speaker 2:my friend so well, Esma would be proud.
Speaker 1:So would Mother Gothel.
Speaker 2:So my team's already ahead. The smack talking has begun.
Speaker 1:It has a little bit. It's definitely it's peeking out a little bit there. I love these, though, because, as we saw with Crown and Conquer and our previous training groups, all of these style of workouts, these daily fortunes or these activities, they can again run that gamut where we have some participants that may be adding this to their traditional workouts. Already we have some folks that are utilizing these and maybe doing two or three sets at a time to make it their full workout of the day, and we have others that are utilizing it much as I'm using it, as a little exercise confetti. So taking a fragment, this little segment of that daily fortune and popping it throughout the day when I need a little extra movement or a reason to get up from my desk, of course, because we do kind of have that, that arching, those scheming plans and maybe stay at our desk a little too long. So every villain needs a little bit of a movement break, and that's where these come into play.
Speaker 1:Now we've talked about gosh. I'm recapping it again as we go along, because there's just so much. This is truly we, quite literally. The vault is almost impossible to shut because we've crammed so much into it. So we've got a mileage component where you're working with your team, to that villains vault. You've got audio workouts. You've got playlists. You've got a daily fortune for those that are bold and brave and courageous enough to take that down. Then we got prizes.
Speaker 2:Why not Again? Even the villains need a little enticement sometimes to put their plans in action and take the power that they so rightfully deserve. So we have the dark decree of mastery, our first grand prize, and how we're going to work, it is because of the teams are going to be facing off. We need again a little competition. So whichever team reigns supreme and racks up the most miles, as long as you hit that 62 mile minimum, you're going to be entered in to the dark decree of mastery, that grand prize, which not only includes six months of one on one coaching. There's going to be a reason behind all of that sweat that you're going to need for those six months.
Speaker 1:Yes, of course, going into that devious scheming game where we know we have an angle in sight and remember I said earlier there'll be a couple more efforts you'll have in, that is fabulous. With finish line, well, my friend, you will have that coveted sold out bid for the 2024 princess half marathon at your disposal to definitely make sure that you I don't know break into that princess party and show them who is the true villain, a victor of all. So with that, we'll have the six months of one among coaching, ensuring that you make it there, that you feel strong for that race weekend, and we'll help you with the reverse taper and recovery on the other side. That's not it, though. As you guys can tell, we love our challenges around here at TFB training, so you will also win the Royal Runners Pass, the next six months of TFB training challenges, and that's still not it. Like I feel like that that's enough, right, but they're villains and they're victors. They should get a little bit more. What do you think else we should have up their alley? Coach?
Speaker 2:I think we have to look the part, because when you look your best, you feel your best, and we have found another F word to help you feeling fabulous. And we're going to include a lavish gift card fit for the most stylish villains to flock sportswear, because they have a villain line, they have a princess line, they have accessories. We lost all the chill that we had left when we discovered flock sportswear and it's going to be the perfect accompaniment to the training, the race, the finish line and all that we have planned for the next six months.
Speaker 1:Yes, an incredible small woman owned business who really goes the extra step to make sure that you are outfitted as a true villain victor, my friends. So we look very much forward to seeing what you choose. And can we be like matching besties? Probably so. With that said, though, as coach already said, while we will have one person reign supreme on that challenge winner, we'll also have the runner up. So, friends, you'll have a whisper of wisdom with one month of the intensive coaching and prepping you for your future quest and conquest, with either coach Shelby or myself, another world runner's pass at your disposal for the next three months, or TF of TFB training challenges. And because every single participant villain should have some treasures that they accumulate, you get a gift card to Marvelous on Main Street with some of the most fabulous jewelry that you could ever wish for.
Speaker 2:Oh, the shine of the sparkle. I'm pretty sure the villains love their jewels too, because they slayed. So it's safe to say there will be something for anybody who wins this gift card. But again, because we're gonna be proud of all of you, when you complete this challenge, we are going to give you an actual badge of honor prize to decree to the world that you signed up, you did the work, you put in the effort and you reign supreme. So it pays to be a little bad.
Speaker 1:It definitely does around here in Villain World, that's for sure. So Villain World does take place starting October 1st all the way to October 31st and because of that, friends, we do have a very short registration time. Pricing is $39. And you will definitely want to sign up ASAP because, while we're officially keeping this open until September 29th, we may have to close the vault doors earlier if we meet our training team slots. Again, as I've mentioned early on, we wanna make sure that our teams are very equally matched. So we have a certain amount of spots. We've already filled some of those slots with our one-on-one training and with our training group currently. So we don't have that many slots.
Speaker 1:You're gonna want to sign up If you're on the fence. If you have more questions, you can absolutely reach out. We're happy to help explain how you can reign supreme of dark underworld. So, coach, let's hit them one more time. They're gonna use the episode link in our episode notes. They're gonna sign up. They're gonna be ready on October 1st with a little wicked smile, because they're gonna get five audio workouts, five villain showdown playlist. What else are they gonna get?
Speaker 2:They're gonna get that weekly newsletter that's going to have all the tips and tricks you need to be the best villain on the blog. You're gonna have the Daily Fortune Reveals. You're going to get those badges of honor for finishing and crossing that finish line. We're gonna get a whole team behind you. And don't think oh poor unfortunate souls, I'll get that next time, because you never know what's coming up next for time for brunch. So take it while it's hot and make sure that you don't sleep on this beauty of a challenge.
Speaker 1:Absolutely, because it's 31 days of committing to yourself, having that sense of community and being consistent in all of the wicked delights. Of course we'll have lots, lots more that's coming your way, including good puns, bad trash talking, because I really am the worst at that and pop up challenges with those prizes as well.
Speaker 1:So, friends, you know that you are ready to pledge your allegiance to your villainous squadron. So make your way to the finish line right there by using that Lincoln episode notes so you can claim that victor of the villains vault showdown. We are so excited to kick off this challenge. We know that it's a lot. Your ears may have had a hard time keeping all of this straight. That's what we will do, you don't have to worry about it. So, with that said, friends, we're gonna see you again when it's time for brunch, because we're gonna keep serving up more miles with a side of Wiccan smiles Muah-ah-ah.
